Man Stabs Boy In Long Island – A deranged many on Long Island stabbed his hunting knife in an 8 year olds back five times while the child way playing video games at a restaurant on Friday night. The man, Evan Sachs, 23, snuck up behind the child at Dave and Buster’s in Westbury, LI, placing his hand on the boy’s shoulder, and stabling him with the 4 inch blade five times in the back.
The child barely made it back to his mother, collapsing, bleeding in front of her. His father heard screaming and ran over. A man who saw the stabbing approached the father and told him that he saw the man go hide in the bathroom. Together, they entered the bathroom and detained Sachs until the police could arrive.He was arrested and charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
The boy was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and was treated for a partially collapsed lung, among a number of other injuries. He is currently in stable condition and is expected to recover in full and survive.
Police were confused by the attack. Sachs has no prior relationship with the boy or his family, and he does not have a criminal record. They said that the attack appears to be unprovoked, and a random occurrence. Sachs lives with his mother and two brothers in Merrick, and reportedly works at a local movie theater.
