Sponsormydegree.com: Where Students Become Online Beggars

Students face troubling financial situations everyday. There are so many students in the world that they really have to fend for themselves and survive within these tough times of their lives. The online world has changed the traditional work world in a very disappointing way for some students. Now there are less job opportunities because the commercial industry doesn’t need to employ as many workers. Much of their marketing and selling can be done on the Internet. Not to mention that with the introduction of machine’s, we can now lay off thousands of workers to have their jobs carried out by these machines. However, this is bad news for students that are looking for entry level jobs and jobs that can sustain them during college.

College can be very expensive and there have been a lot of sites that almost “promote” begging for money and scholarships on the Internet. Sponsormydegree.com is just an example of one of these sites. The web page serves as a location where students can go to basically “beg” for a sponsorship. However, these sites can be incredibly helpful if you can actually obtain a degree through their program.

Sites like these suggest that they can provide free money for a students college education. However, this doesn’t seem very realistic to me. Working in the world for most of my life, the American way seems to be that putting college students in debt to earn an education will help them redeem themselves once they get a promising job in the future. This way they understand that not everything comes easy but if you work at it and spend a little money you can accomplish your goals. Is offering free money to college students that apply online not the same as giving out cash to a random college kid you see on the street? I personally think that student loans are a fine process for students to obtain money for college. If you visit the site you’ll find endless profiles of money hungry college kids practically begging for money. It’s a sad situation and one that has gotten very controversial opinions.
