Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Dissed By Emma Watson: Twilight Vs Harry Potter Movies – Emma Watson, who plays Hermione in the ‘Harry Potter’ movies, has said that, unlike ‘Twilight’, the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise doesn’t sell sex.
“It’s not ‘Twilight’, you know. We’re not selling sex. Whenever there is any hint of that, everybody gets terribly excited”, said the stunning young actress in response to a question about the eagerly anticipated kiss between her character, Hermione, and Ron Weasly (played by Rupert Grint).
Emma certainly has a point, in that the sexual tension within the ‘Twilight Saga’ films is explosive, whereas the ‘Harry Potter’ actors have made a name for themselves for being fantastic actors rather than for participating in steamy, racy scenes. That’s not to say that the young actors of ‘Twilight’ have no talent; quite the opposite, in fact. Kristen Stewart has starred as Jodie Foster’s daughter in ‘The Panic Room’, and is filming ‘On The Road’ at present. Robert Pattinson will soon be starring in ‘Water for Elephants’ opposite Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon.
The first part of the newest Harry Potter installment, “Deathly Hollows”, will be released in November 2010, followed by the second part in July 2011.

I don’t understand why everyone seems to be mad about the comment she made. It’s not a ‘diss’. She was talking about how Harry Potter does not emphasize romance and sexual tension like Twilight does so when kiss scenes and such are in the Harry Potter movies everyone gets ‘terribly excited’ over it. She never said there was anything wrong with that. Everyone knows that sex sells. Twilight emphasizes that (not the only thing but it’s there) & Harry Potter doesn’t. That’s it.

This is the media machine trying to turn something into nothing. Twilight is a romance story, of course they are going to be selling sex. Harry Potter is a story of good vs. evil, it is not a romance! If the Harry Potter franchise were trying to sell sex it wouldn’t make any sense. People need to stop listening to the media in it’s pitiful attempts to pit Twilight and Harry Potter fans against each other. Emma wasn’t taking a dig at Twilight it was simply an observation. Wow you guys are so obsessed with your twilight that you haven’t even stopped to think that maybe she knows what she is talking about. The whole twilight series is about the sexual tension between edward and bella and their supposed love for eachother and shes right when she says that the characters in twilight just jump into things. There is no rising to their relationship, there is little conflict and then it happens and thats it. They try to create drama by adding Jacob but all in all twilight is just a book with a crappy plot line with crappy grammar and writing that destroys Vampire books all around the world. Not to mention Emma Watson is a great actress and an intelligent person who got into Brown and last time i checked acting isn’t just blinking your eyes intensely and staring blankly at your costar like Kristen does, and not to mention she’s pretty dumb and she has no class at all.

Harry Potter has been famous long before Twilight and will continue to be famous long after. Emma Watson doesn’t have any reason to be jealous of Kristen when she had been famous for most of her life where Kristen JUST got famous and only has been famous for about 3 years or so. Emma’s been famous sinec she was 11.
this is so not true! emma and kristen are the same age. kristen started out at the age of 9 doing commercials and movies and emma is only famous for two roles that I know of, the voice of the girl in the mouse movie and the potters! kristen has a lot of movies under her belt and can act as well as emma imo! if you want to actually compare the two kristen has recieved much more in awards and praise in the film industry as well very beautiful! I don’t think emma is better than kristen or prettier, I think emma is classic cute and a classic actress who is talented! I think kristen is a edgy, indy versatile actress who takes risk rather than worry about image and is equally talented and naturally beautiful. the two are in different acting catagories, it’s like comparing natalie portman to amanda seyfried.

I like both twilight and harry potter, but it has to be said in some areas Emma is right, twilight does have more steamy hot scenes whereas harry potter has the best fantasy storylines with less romance in them, both are great actors/actresses, she isn’t jealous, why would she be jealous she’s in harry potter? harry potter and twilight aren’t as rubbish or as better as eachother, they’re both great. Personally i’ve grown up with harry potter, whereas twilight has only come for the last couple of years, i love both of them but if i had to choose it would be harry potter because they’ve been around for years on end, anyways they’re both great movies and books.
Harry Potter is excellent as abook and the movies. Twilight’s books were good but the movies are terrible. Bella/Kristen has decided to be a slut. All her Indie movies are her doing drugs and trying to dominate people with sex. On top of that Kristen has bombed the last three Indie movies(not Twilight). The Yellow Hankerchief, The Runaways and Welcome to the Riley’s. I think the Indie producers and directors are going to wise up and stop using her. In On The Road she plays a major druggie and her husband shares her with his friends. There are three scenes where she does a three way. Emma has integerity and Kristen doesn’t. Emma is literate where Kristren is illiterate. Kristen is a major druggie and there are no pictures of Emma being stoned while there are hundreds of Kristen being stoned.Emma can act and Kristen can’t.
Twilight and Harry Potter are both ok, but i will always like Haryy Potter over twilight. The actors are not even that awesome. I just like the books really.
